James River Arts & Cultural District Program

The James River Arts & Cultural District Program is intended to attract citizens, organizations and partnerships that wish to create and execute projects within the District to benefit the welfare of the citizens of Lynchburg. The term “project” may include events, activities, capital investments, promotions, improvements, displays or like pursuits that serve to further arts and culture in the District.

The program is supported in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts and the National Endowment for the Arts.

How can I apply?

Applications are reviewed and funds awarded two times per fiscal year. For fiscal year 2020, applications must be received no later than 5:00 pm on September 5, 2019 and February 5, 2020.
